Some of you may have heard that a copy or two of LSODM have been sold, despite the embargo. This is, unfortunately, true.
Eight copies were mistakenly sent out ahead of schedule, to the big Forbidden Planet store in London. All eight were immediately sold. No one at Forbidden Planet is to blame, and no one who bought a copy is to blame.
I will only ask those who DID buy a copy to keep it to themselves. I'm asking them not to post spoilers and not to even HINT at anything that happens. I'm pretty confident nothing will leak, because you guys are all really good about this sort of thing, but I need to make sure.
And also, for those eight people out there who now own a copy... I hope you enjoy it.

No, that's not stupid, Mara. I have sort of the same mind set, but I'm probably less worried about my kids getting bullied than most people would be, just because I was bullied pretty intensely and I honestly never cared. I take that sort of as proof that if you raise your kids a certain way, they genuinely won't care what other people think, so I could give them a weird name and they'd think it awesome and unique instead of hating it or feeling bad or mocked.

Important revelation that I keep forgetting to tell you guys about but I have to because it's important:
Bloglandians are not just a fandom, and Blogland is not just a website full of names and profile pictures. We're a family, and this is our home. And you know what? Families fight. Even the closest and kindest of families fight over something. And sometimes, family members leave the house. They go out to get some air and come back in a few minutes, they go for a drive and come back in a few hours, go on some sort of getaway for a few days, or go off to a boarding school or college for years. Sometimes family members even leave and never come back. But they're always family, and even though we're all only human, they try to be there for each other in their darkest hours. So yes, there has been a lot of fighting here, and yes, people have left, and we still miss them dearly, but we're still a family, and they will always be welcome to come back, and fights don't last forever. We'll get through this, and if we stay determined, nothing can keep us apart forever.

Thank you guys... I just realized that over vacation, actually. But it just immediately hit me as true, and I thought I should share that with the rest of you, because it made me feel better, so I hoped it might do the same for you.
Thanks, Zaf- usually I can rant and just be fine. I have a lot of control over my emotions. I can bring them out when I want and suppress them when I want. There are some occasions when I lose it, but that doesn't happen too often.
To answer the questions about being bullied- I live in a very conformist town, and attend a very conformist, judgemental school. I've been made fun of since 6th grade, just because I'm me, and me is different than everyone else. At some point I obtained a cloak, and I started wearing it to school whenever it rained or got cold out, instead of a jacket. People yelled at me from right next to me and all the way across the halls, and laughed and jeered and occasionally threw things at me, and I was glared at a lot and stared at like I had 6 heads, but I can honestly say that I never cared, and it never did anything to me. Really, I haven't changed since elementary school. So it's really not a big deal, but it's something that happened, and I'm kind of glad that it did.
Also, Zaf- that thing you said Niccolò wasn't there to hear... I'm here, and I could hear it, so by definition he could too. But that's fine. It's weird, though- he's barely spoken to me at all these past few days.
