Wow.
Okay, that was one of the most fun competitions I've run so far. The Exquisite Corpse competition is shaping up brilliantly— the standard on display is just mind-boggling— but the Spirit Lake contest has just been fun from start to finish.
So here's what I did.
I collected all of the names of the people who entered, both here on this Blog and on Twitter, and I divided them into bundles. I made sure that each and every one had a valid reason for why they should be a video game character. Some of these reasons made sense. Some were just odd. Some were VERY odd. There are people, both Minions and Ronda Rousey fans, who are just unsettling. I'm not entirely sure how their brains work— if indeed their brains work at all.
To give you a hint of what I've been dealing with, here are a few reasons you people gave. "Because of my neurax worms." "Because I like pie." "Because I'm short.""Because I've watched Robot Wars.""Because I have a psychic elephant.""Because I have a need for speed.""Because I'm not very smart (which will make the player feel better about themselves).""Because I am Dr Who.""Because I sometimes think that I'm the only human being in the world. The rest of you are all aliens.""I would make an awesome video game character because I already AM an awesome video game character.""Because I am actually Lakota (the Spirit Lake people are my Dakota relatives)."
So I divided you all up, and those of you who entered multiple times got your names put into as many groups as possible. From each of these groups, a winner was chosen. The winners were then put into a hat.
(Not an ACTUAL hat, since I don't own one, but a METAPHORICAL hat.)
(Okay, fine, I wrote all your names on a sheet of paper and I let my cat walk on it, and the closest one to where her tail touched down was the winner.)
And sooooo... without further ado... the winner is...
Willow Kowalski!
Yayyyyyyy Willow! The only thing I know about Willow is that she's five years old (so, er, she can wait a few years before she starts reading my books) and she's a Ronda fan... It's a lovely prize, and I can't think of anyone it'd make happier.

That was my first ded but there's lots more to come.
Also, to Rockstar. Because I like Grand Theft Auto and I have to admit throwing yourself off the Empire State Building in an attempt to land in the back of a convertible car and hopefully survive is always fun. It never works, but one can hope.
I also tried to do it on a motorbike, using a cheat to spawn a dirt bike in front of me when I was stood on top of the Empire State Building. And then I drove it off - and that did not work. At all.
My motorbike blew up in my face whilst I hit the floor and died then got ran over by a fire engine.
It was rather awkward.
So to everyone on this blog. Because you're all awesome and stuff... I think the word you lot use is 'jepic'?
Also to awkward moments. Because they can be funny. Ok, they're ALWAYS funny.
Especially when you lose your sunglasses in the middle of the supermarket and start pannicking and you're like "AH WHO STOLE MY GLASSES?".
Then you realise they're on your head. And you stop pannicking. Then you laugh at yourself.
I think we've all had moments like that.

I have a few characters
Brad, no. It's just part of my fanfic. It's about the SOS (which I AM considering using in Dead Reaping, maybe). Basically a biological weapons facility explodes and causes everyone in Tehran (the Iranian capital) to turn into a zombie.
So the SOS are deployed (2 squads) to take care of them and yeah there are problems. Namely the villain who creeped you out, The Dark Shadow. He's there.

I made a character known simply as 'Unit 4' (since he's an SOS soldier - he has no name that can be told whilst on a mission). Unit 4 is completely silent (he cannot speak), because a mage took away his ability to do so (by magic, not by cutting out his vocal chords or something). He was only meant to be like a background person, since he couldn't speak or anything.
Then I made him have a diary, so readers could get to know his thoughts and feelings.
Then I've just thought of a whole new story that could be to do with him, Dragona and a few more of my OCs.

On another note, I FINALLY started my shading in this drawing. But it made me realise that I need to buy some more fingerless glove. That is, I wear finger-less gloves when I'm drawing sometimes, for a tonne of different reasons, but I lost ALL of the gloves I own in school during the winter, and had to resort to those which I wear for drawing. And then proceeded to lose that pair, too. So now I need more.

Well, it IS mess, but it's ORGANISED mess. If something were on the floor in the wrong place, I'd have to move it to somewhere more appropriate.

I was inspecting the new front cover, and there is going to be a terrible greviancence in this book, I know it for sure. Yes all our favourite characters are at risk, but there is one that no one considered. A snake in the grass so sneaky, that if we go in unprepared, we'll be blindsided by it. Sure, Valkarie is dying in the foreground, but what's the fire from? What's all that wreckage? Think! On the left in the background is quite clearly the frame of a car. Judging from the fact that Skulduggery and Valkarie, and that the mechanic said that if then gently was so much as scratched it would fall apart, surely this is the Bentley? My friends, do not fear for Ghastly, do not fear for Bye, Clarabelle or Scrapegrace(pffffft! Yeah right! Like he would kill off Scrape grace! He's must too funny!) Or even Thrasher! Fear for the Bentley! Fear for our favourite car, the Bentley! We can manage then deaths of our human characters, but how do we manage the death of the seemingly indestructible Bentley? Why Derek?! This is a whole new level of killing off! You've crossed the line mister! Why?! *curls up and keeps on babbling in the corner about the forthcoming loss of the Bentley*
