Just to let you know that World Book Day is this Thursday (well, it is in this part of the world, anyway) and to celebrate Alex Barclay and myself will be holding two events. The first, in Kildare, is pretty much sold out, but the second one is in Easons in O'Connell Street, Dublin, at 6 PM. We'll be there, talking about... stuff... and books... and writing... and, er... annnnnyway...
Because this is somewhat last minute, I'm not expecting that many people to turn up to the Dublin event, which means it'll be a lot more casual and chatty than usual. If you're interested, get in touch with Easons to reserve a place, and we'll see you there.

I started reading Skulduggery in Year 7. Loads of people were reading it in Year 6, but it didn't seem my type of book.
WOW I'M ACTUALLY SO STUPID
Most people in all my stories are immortal/have really really long lifestimes, so when I think about it the day I die of old age seems almost on top of me . . .
I like making my characters immortal because I want them to last. I don't want them to flicker into life for a few years before disappearing into the yawning abyss and being forgotten. I want their lives to stretch out to infinity, not be of such short length you almost miss them when gazing down a timeline.
I want them to be the age they are for a long time too. Lots of room for writing. If they grow old in a second or two, that doesn't give me much space.
My story, the one I think I'm calling Insanity . . . I recently adjusted it so the whole thing spans about a hundred years now. :)
And then I have vague plans for a thousand or so years in the future, but I'll need to sort a lot of stuff out before I even think about writing that. New relationships with new and old characters, and a whole future world, for examples.

Yes, Mara come to Britain, we all laugh at each other. It's fun.
I wanted to read Skulduggery vaguely for a few years before I actually did, because of the cool covers . . .
Then I read the blurb and it basically said "Here is the plot. Btw, this book will have humour in it" and I like laughing at books, so that was what made me think "Right, I'll get that out then." :)
Not very good, a little short and the name isn't there because I don't want to tell you who it is about, but opinions please?
“No,” I gasp, sprinting across the room. I make myself stop just less than half a metre away from the body that lies on the floor.
“No,” I shake my head, in disbelief, tears streaming down my face. The lifeless body at my feet lies in a pool of crimson liquid, and the mere sight of it turns my legs to jelly.
I fall to my knees, and the tears continue to fall. My natural instincts force me to check for a pulse, even though I know just by looking at the stillness of the body that there’s no chance – the lack of pulse I feel is only confirmation that all hope of ever seeing her again is lost.
Her empty eyes stare at me, the spark of happiness now long gone, so I gently close them for her, whispering “see you soon,” as I do so.
I kneel by her side for a few moments, studying the youth and innocence she has finally found. After twenty-eight years of torture and hell, she’s finally found herself at peace.
“You’re always going to be a hero to me,” I sob, before running out of the room, not wanting to believe that my best friend has just been lost. Never will she be forgotten, she is, was, and always will be my best friend and hero. _________ will never die, not really, because she’ll always live on in spirit.

Okay. This is my 1D rant that I am very proud of :)

I, personally, am crying just thinking about them, and everything they've done to help everyone. I love One Direction, which I hope is plainly obvious. And after seeing their 1D3D trailer, I broke down sobbing. I only cry with happiness if I watch 1D videos, and that's why I love my boys.
I was on my bed, bawling my eyes out. It just... It amazes me to think that 5 boys, just doing what they love, made me feel that way about them. I've only been a Directioner a year in July, but I still love them. A lot. :)
When I was accepted into the 1DFamily, it was an amazayn feeling. Being accepted into a thing as huge as that was... extraordinHarry! :) I have lots of 1Derful Directionsisters - Lou, Eleanna, Kathleen, Katie, etc - and they are so Paulfect. I love them so much :)
I have One Direction on shuffle now. And I just burst out crying. Again. Actually, I never stopped. It's so weird! I'm going to see them! I'll probably cry there too. And we've got good seats, apparently. Row 44, seats 3, 4, 5 and 6. So I'm going to see them better. Bigger chance of Mara bursting into tears.
I might've said before, Gotta Be You was the first 1D song I ever heard when I became a Directioner. Of course I had heard of WMYB, but Gotta Be You was the song I chose to listen to when I became a Directioner. And it's still my favourite song, along with WMYB, Moments, Little Things and Over Again :) Oh, and Kiss You!
These boys make me feel beautiful! :) They actually do. And through music. If I had never heard 1D and never became a Directioner, I would be upstairs, boooooored. And I wouldn't be as close to my best friends as I am now. You could say One Direction brought us together :) Ciara and I are Directioner buddies! :D We're going to the concert together :)

If I never was a Directioner, I would've never found this blog. When I found 1D's website, it got me wondering if Derek had a website. I found the Skulduggety Pleasant website, and then Derek's blog. And then I found all you guys! :D
One Direction have changed my life hugely. So, Directionhaters, listen up. There was a girl who got bullied for being a Directioner. She hung herself while listening to Little Things.
Another boy was bullied for liking 1D. He shot himself.
I hate talking about this stuff, but that's the truth. And it's a horrible truth. I do get bullied for liking 1D. But I keep my head held high because maybe, one day, I'll get to meet these boys. And maybe, just maybe, they'll thank me for sticking with them and going through everything for them. :)

I'm so sorry. I clean forgot about the ded. And about my French, but I finished that anyway. I didn't forget I was here, but I shoved it to the back of my mind . . .
