Apologies for the lapse in communication. A lot of stuff has happened/is happening and it's hard to find the time to Blog and think about business stuff and writerly endeavours. That said, I'm still hurtling through Book 8- I think I've got a third of it done, which is good news.
Let's see... Okay, on February 20th I'll be in London as part of the Imagine Festival. I''m going to be talking about the movies that have influenced Skulduggery, and showing trailers/scenes as we go. Expect a LOT of awesome 80's movies. You can book your tickets now.
On the 7th of March I'll be at the Riverbank Arts Centre in Kildare, interviewing Alex Barclay on stage about her fantasy novel for younger readers, Curse of Kings. Alex writes some of my favourite crime novels, and she's also a very good friend of mine, and you'll be hearing a lot more from me about Curse of Kings in the next few weeks.
On the 9th of March, I'll be in Derry, the City of Culture, doing... something. For 600 people. So... there's that. Book now! If you can find out what I'm doing. Because I haven't a clue.
In April, for The Maleficent Seven release, I'll be in Dublin and Cork and Galway and Stratford and Milton Keynes and, ulp, Norwich. Where SHE lives.

What do you think of this idea for mc a pow ( prisoner of war ) camp?

What I was think of is being trapped in one of mevolent s camps and breaking out and destroying it or something of the like I'm thinking about possibilities.
I got the idea because I have to write about a day in a concentration camp in English and mevolent scamp and a concentration camp can't be too different.

I would say that Mevolent himself having a camp is unlikely. He's more of the dungeons and torture type, and everybody so far has been taken to the cells in his palace. Maybe a camp for people who refuse to join his side, so they don't have a chance to join the Sanctuary? More connected with Mevolent's movement as a whole than the dude himself...unless that's what you meant the whole time...
It could be run by Serpine.
Well I was more thinking of a torture camp where mevolent would send a few people to work to death and have nye experiment on them maybe but your probably right about that.
Maybe a camp with people for Serpine to test new tricks on?

Oh, and this morning actually started with a really odd(and kinda scary) dream that had to do with a t-rex(Jurassic Park. I seriously have a fear of t-rexes ever since I watched that). It wasn't a nightmare though, cause it ended nicely(but very oddly). My friend's brother just fed it something and it stopped chasing us. Then I woke up. In my dream though, I shouted at him, "Are you crazy???!!!" :P More to it, just giving a very short version.
And while I was wiping the window dry(real life, not the dream), I noticed a bug that I thought was a spider at first(thank goodness it wasn't, it was a harmless bug, but it was so close to where my hand was!) and I found out what I do when I notice a bug really close to me- surprisingly, I don't scream. I yell. :P like, I literally went, "WHOOOOAAAAA-" really loudly. So loud, it didn't even sound like I said it. And the reason it was cut off is cause I stopped once I realized it wasn't a spider. Still, that was freaky but very funny!
This may have just been the best start of the day I've ever had! Now I gotta go again. Bye!
