I'm all achey. I've had a long day and I'm tired. All I want to do is go to bed- and yet going to bed before 2 AM always seems like a waste of time. Like there's something I could be doing, some work I could be getting done...
33,000 words done on Book 8, by the way.
This time last year (January 6th) I started KOTW. I had been hideously delayed because of work to the house I'd been having done, and the deadline was fast approaching. So this year, having 33,000 words done by this stage is something of a relief. I am, of course, assuming that I can continue writing at the same rate. So, er, hopefully I can.
Wrote a cool scene yesterday. It involves Fletcher. It involves blood. It involves AWESOMENESS.

I keep singing in my head. I do that when I have a lot of emotion. I'm a very musically-oriented person.
I understand the blur... I've felt it before...
He had lung cancer... battled with it since he was 19...
But a week ago he contracted a lung infection that just tore apart his already weak lungs.
He was put on a ventilator to let the antibiotics fight the infection.
Then was taken off the ventilator but wouldn't wake up...
Suddenly early this morning, his heart just gave out. The doctors tried for a good 30 mins or so to try and resuscitate him but he just lost all his fight...
1:00 am they stopped resuscitating and he passed away...
Oh Em. Em, I am so, so sorry. I don't really know what to say... I never do in situations like these.

There's a story I read just now called Yukie(yoo-kee-eh)-chan's wish. It's a English translated Japanese book. It's about a girl who had an illness and it reminded me a lot of Chase... which is why I was crying. But I would like to tell you, because it has a good meaning.
And I think it could help with the grief.

Let me tell you about Yukie-chan. I am a teacher at a school for children with chronic illnesses such as heart ailments, asthma, kidney disease and other conditions that make it difficult to attend regular schools. Yukie-chan was one of my students.
Yukie-chan had an illness called MS. MS stands for Multiple Sclerosis. When people with MS run a fever, they can lose their eyesight and their ability to move their arms and legs. This doesn't mean they will never see or walk again. Through physical therapy they can often regain some vision and mobility. But it's difficult to recover fully and in many cases people with MS gradually lose their vision and their ability to move their limbs. And sometimes the loss of vision and mobility is perminant. So you see, I always thought how scary it must be for her each time she had another attack, but Yukie-chan always, always recovered with courage.
Yukie-chan's name consists of two characters: "YUKI" for snow and "E" for painting. [It is pronounced you-kee-eh. "Chan" is a term of endearment.]

I dedicate this page to Blogland. I only joined this community two days ago, but already I've seen kindness beyond belief. You've all felt true pain, and you're struggling to deal with life, yet you can still manage to have fun, and you're still so kind to everyone. Just being here and reading these strengthens my faith in humanity so much. Sometimes in everyday life we can forget how exceptional people can be, but you guys help me remember.

Because when discovered that Chase had left his body, I felt it. And I can tell that each and every Bloglandian felt it when they found out. Even the ones who haven't been here or known you or Chase for as long as others have. We all felt this loss in some small way. So, when you're sad...we're sad too. You're not on your own.

I got my first DEMI-SOLO in the nutcracker this year!!! So excited, still! It went really well, so there's a good chance I'll get another one in our summer show, which we start rehearsing in March or April. I'm so excited!!! Ballet has never been my string suit, so to get a DEMI-SOLO!!!

It's not really M&MS brand, just these organic multi-colored chocolate candies my mom likes to get. Theyre basically the same thing as M&Ms only with natural colors and no artificial ingredients.
