And Tom isn't even FINISHED it yet...! There's going to be some colour stuff happening, and some cool silver effects added and things, but even as it stands now, this is a cover that's going to pop out at you on the bookshelf. For Tom is awesome.
Speaking of paperbacks, we're going to start gradually removing the short stories from the reprints, with the aim of collecting everything (including the Tanith novella) into one big book in the spring of 2014. There'll be lots of brand new stories in there as well, covering the entire series. So will we see a short story starring Mr Bliss, back when he was alive? Will we see Val and pre-Remnant Tanith fighting side by side once again? Will we even catch a glimpse of Skulduggery and the Dead Men at war with Mevolent...?
To be honest I haven't a clue. I'm just making things up as I go along.

She only survives because he allows a few drops of his blood to spill into her mouth within five minutes of her death. c:

Thank god. Maybe the world of vampires hasn't been destroyed. People like Darren Shan and Will Hill - I think, "Fair enough - those vampires are awesome". But the SECOND vampires are used in any kind of romantic plot which is like the main theme I'm like fklasdkasdjdsflksadflk you've just RUINED the idea of vampires with your teenage bullshit.
She stays with her boyfriend, but only because she needs his protection... But there's very little romance other than that, she mostly uses him to get what she wants, because she's manipulative and intelligent. She knows how to get what she wants and she will use any means necessary.
I don't see vampires as romantic creatures, though I do believe they're beautiful. In the way that a wild cat is, of course; vampires are beautiful in a deadly way.
I've only seen like thirty seconds of some Twilight films - and both times have made me rant. My sister was watching them and I looked up and he was sparkling and I was like WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY.
The next was when the stupid girl with the boring voice gave birth and she was dead for like FOREVER then she woke up again and I was like YOU'D BE BRAIN DEAD THAT'S STUPID and had another rant about how she'd be either extremely brain damaged or dead.
I just... I can't stand the Twilight franchise. I love Robert Pattinson, but I couldn't even get past the first chapter of the first book... And the films are even worse. I just can't watch them. They're ridiculous. >-<

I once read the first in a series called Vampire Federation and they were cool - it was about some vampires who wanted to fit into society and set up the "Vampire Federation" and then there were other vampires who believed they were the rulers over humanity since they were given these powers which are the more "traditional" vampires. That was a good book I want some more.

I'm reading a few books at the minute. I'm partway through the Bloodlines series, I've started Department 19, the Midnighters trilogy, Scorch Trials (The Maze Runner) and some others... :)
Department 19 is good... it's a good idea, but tbh I get fed up of all the teenage crap. Not romance, not really - that's fine - just the typical teenage problems which wouldn't actually happen because their problems are so TINY in comparison to the fact there are VAMPIRES around.
I'm not sure I like it yet. I mean, it's got potential, but I'm not seeing it going anywhere in particular. I don't know. It's a bit weird... But I'm going to read it, because I hate not finishing books.
Which reminds me... I'm going to finish the Gone series. I started it, so I shall finish it.
It DOES go somewhere. By the end of the first book and into the second it's like, "Ok, this might be quite good". I believe the next book in the series has been released today. I might get it next time I go to town.
I liked the Gone series - for a start. I thought that it was a good idea and was done very well... but then it started to go downhill and became less realistic to the point where I didn't believe it made sense within its own universe and I just couldn't be bothered with it :P

I just... I'm not massive on the Gone series. The writing style is almost lazy and the second book just drags really bad. I know you like it, Star, but... It's not my cup of tea. The first book was amazing, but I'm really put off by the second... I'm only going to finish it because I have the books and need to know how the series ends.

As with everything in life.
When people say they like things, I always want to know why. What draws them to it? Do they like 1D because they think they're fit or is it something deeper than that?
I always think why you like things is much more important than what you like. You could like anything, really. It's like when we play those linking games in lessons to revise. We have 16pieces of paper with key words on and we have to put them in a 4x4 grid so each piece of paper links with all the pieces of paper it touches. And the thing is, it doesn't matter where you put the pieces of paper. It's just your linking skills. "Osmosis relates to enzymes because enzymes are made of proteins, which are made in cells, and Osmosis happens in cells."

Your brain can find any number of links in a thing - it can like it for many reasons, some obscure and only existing in that person's mind.
It's not what your brain choses to link to the 'things I like' folder in your head.

*the ball of energy becomes an unstable point of nearly infinite mass - it lifts the guards into the air and drags them all towards the centre*
*the guards start losing limbs, heads and parts of their torsos when they come into contact with the centre*
*finishes off the ones who aren't killed with a headshot*

*holds back the cries and the tears*
*wraps her hands into the rope pulling it tighter to distract herself from the pain*

*starts shooting at the magicians*
*launches more singularities (the points of nearly infinite mass) at the mages*

*pulls tight against her bonds*

*collapses as another lash hits her*
*cries out as her ribs are jarred even more*
*expands the bubble of energy, stopping the offensive for a moment to push it outwards*
*anyone in the bubble's radius is ripped apart*
*keeps pushing the bubble outwards*
*causes the bubble to explode outwards - destroying anyone left alive*
*is breathing heavily*
*grabs an energy bar from her belt and eats it*
*guards fall quickly but are just are quickly replaced* *energy flies at the blue shield dome energy thing*

Ah. Your a feisty one. And yet I'd heard you didn't care for her. Never the matter, my point still stands. You have ten seconds to walk away. Fail to do so and Silente starts losing parts. Continue still and she'll continue losing parts. We'll be leaving before you reach us either way.
*shouts so Sophia will hear*

*cries out yet again as the whip comes down hard*
*laughs* I'm not here for her. I'm here for you. Rip her apart for all I care. But you have kidnapped someone. Therefore I am authorised to kill or arrest you as I see fit. You know I'm going to find you. And you know I'm going to kill you. Just give up now and MAYBE I will spare your guards.
*shoots the intercom system*
*looks at Silente*
Well well. Looks like your friend isn't much of a friend.
*walks over to her signaling the the muscular man to put her in a lock that will make it so if she moves to loses an arm*
Ah well. Guess I'll just have to give up on you then.
*punches her hand across the jaw feeling it break*
Pity.
*shadows slice through one of her wrists all the way and then stop her from bleeding to death*
*knocks the guards back with a shockwave and then launches some grenades after them*
*steps through the next hole in the wall and launches another shockwave, putting holes in the wall ahead of her*
*sees the way out*
*grunts as her jaw is broken*
*screams as her hand is sliced off and tries to headbutt the man behind her*
See fun yo. See sho ou. Ou de.
*grins ignoring the pain it causes*
Ba ba.
*exits the labyrinth, and starts moving towards where Silente is*
*smiles*
And I'll take you with me.
*kicks her in the jaw knocking her cold out* *unites her arms* *looks at the muscular man*
