I really really really wanted to meet her and she was RIGHT THERE in front of me but then I was called away for a photo, and then there were a few people who wanted napkins signed, and when I looked around again she was gone. It was a fun night- it always is- but very well behaved and restrained when compared to last year. Ah, last year... what fond, fond memories I have...
My editor Nick came over for it, so we were chatting about the Tanith novella and he reckons it needs only the barest of edits. What does that mean for you guys? It basically means it'll stay at around the 54,000 word mark and I won't have to cut anything out. Apart from, apparently, all those mentions of Tanith in a bikini. I sincerely don't see the problem. It's not like I have her running around nekkid or anything.

People often (in stories, like) make so much of the word 'remember', and of remembering and forgetting . . .
Has anybody ever thought about why we forget? ABout how memories get lost? Because I' thinking now and it's kind of interesting in a way. Like . . . are the things we forget still there . . . yes, they are . . . but are they there more in some people than others? . . . why do some people's brains remember different things to others? . . . does it depend on what you deem important? . . . or just what kind of brain you have? . . .
Does it . . . *struggling to type my thoughts because they're moving too quickly and I'm losing them*
Does the environment of when you were little impact what things your brain choses to remember in the future?
And what you consciously think/though was/is important, does that affect it?
