My editor Nick came over for it, so we were chatting about the Tanith novella and he reckons it needs only the barest of edits. What does that mean for you guys? It basically means it'll stay at around the 54,000 word mark and I won't have to cut anything out. Apart from, apparently, all those mentions of Tanith in a bikini. I sincerely don't see the problem. It's not like I have her running around nekkid or anything.

My bed is a loft bed, so it's like a bunk bed without a bunk underneath it, and when I was younger I often used to hang upside down from the wooden bars that stop me rolling out (because it's rather a longish way to fall if I do roll out, obviously), and I just tried it, and when I was upside down holding onto the bottom wooden bar, I am now tall enough for my feet to touch the ceiling if I stretch. :) :)
I felt like doing a handstand, but that was kind of failing. Number one, haven't done one in years. Number two, slightly scared unless I fall on something (it's my bedroom. There is junk all over the floor.)
But anyway. :)

My computer made a 'DUNG!' noise (I'd been pacing with my arms wrapped around it), and I looked down and the screen had flipped to the side. So, like, the top was at the left and the start menu was at the right, so it was kind of like a notebook, and the mouse wasn't been properly coordinated and it took me quite a while to manage to find how to rotate the screen to normal. :P

My mum said once that I was like her in that I needed questions to be very specific. Like, she said in her first job interview she was asked how she would teach writing, and her mind was like "Well, what do you mean by 'writing'? Do you mean teaching how to write or handwriting or teaching how to write essays or" and because her brain was doing all that she was just like of like "er . . . I don't know."
It's like when my mum had a pan of water and she told me to put the supernoodles in it, and I asked her do I put both in at once and what heat do I put it on and do I add both sauces (they were two different flavours) and when do I add them and do I add them at once and she said that I added the sauce in now, and I said that's not what it says on the packet, and she said what does it say, and I said I didn't know, because I hadn't seen it, I was juts remembering the last time I'd seen it, and she got the packet out of the bin and looked at it, and it turned out the water needed to be boiling beforehand SO IT WAS A GOOD THING I NEEDED ALL THE DETAILS but anyway. :)

I guess so... It just really irritates me that my sister shares all my interests and is at or above my level at everything, despite being two and a half years younger. It doesn't leave much room for my own identity, and people think she's older or we're twins and that hurts me more than I like to admit...
I guess I should stop being so sensitive about it.

I'll stop complaining about it here, though. Was meant to be taking a break from this place, anyway.
@Lantern: I don't think you need to stop complaining about it at all. It's quite a reasonable thing to complain about. :)
And - you'll be better than her in some ways, even at the same things. Like . . . some people can draw cartoons really well, but suck at real life drawining, and vice versa, but they can both be equally good at art.
That's just a metaphor.
And it depends what you're looking for in it. :)
