I really really really wanted to meet her and she was RIGHT THERE in front of me but then I was called away for a photo, and then there were a few people who wanted napkins signed, and when I looked around again she was gone. Dammit. I always thought she looked so petite on screen, but in person she is physically IMPRESSIVE. Here she is with Cecelia Ahern- one of my top two favourite writer-type-people that I know.
It was a fun night- it always is- but very well behaved and restrained when compared to last year. Ah, last year... what fond, fond memories I have...
My editor Nick came over for it, so we were chatting about the Tanith novella and he reckons it needs only the barest of edits. What does that mean for you guys? It basically means it'll stay at around the 54,000 word mark and I won't have to cut anything out. Apart from, apparently, all those mentions of Tanith in a bikini. I sincerely don't see the problem. It's not like I have her running around nekkid or anything.

Eden, Drama as in the school subject. All my school subjects this year are, in no particular order, PE (Physical Education), Science, French, German, English, Maths, Art, Geography, History, RS, IT (Information Technology; in other words, computers), Drama, Games (Hockey, Football, Netball and Rounders - that's for girls; boys have different), DT (Design and Technology), Food, Textiles, and Music.
ohh well its similar but Im doing this curiculum for excellence so I chose my subjects at the end of 1st year :)

8 years of primary school, called 1st, junior infants, 6th class etc.
6/5 years of secondary, called 1st year 6th etc.
You can choose to do transition year ( ty 5th year).
So I have no clue what year ten is.
To me it would be second year.
I never got the idea of high school and middle school.
Why not just have one? It's simpler.
In scotland you go to primary school for seven years - 4/5yr olds are primary one's etc... then you go to high school for 6 yrs ( first years up to 6th years)

Gone by Michael Grant, Eden. It's a series of books, but book one is also called Gone. I'VE ALREADY READ ALL THE GONE BOOKS AND HAVE BEEN OBSESSED WITH THEM BEFORE. :) They are really good.
But since there is no series title I use gone as the collective term.

Zafira stood watching the horror scene come real. She didnt need the necklace. She knew her sister was dead. She knew who to arrest, but right now she needed to see her dead sister. She ran down the hill coming to a hault. Kneeling in the mud a streak of lightening lit up the sky. Thunder in the backround. Zafira knew there was no hope. "You are with me now where you'll always be" She whispered. Some musical had the line or something Zafira watched. She stayed there watching, waiting. The one who killed her sister would pay. Zafra knew it. How? She had no idea.

Kestrel stood in front of the place where China Sorrows's apartment and library had been before someone had blown it up. The mortals had attributed it to a gas leak, they always did, but she could tell just by looking at the rubble and debris that remained, that it had been planned out. A gas leak didn't cause that kind of damage.
A clap of thunder echoed far above her, and lightning flashed. Winds blew the streets and tousled her hair, and it began drizzling lightly. It was high noon, but the clouds were blocking the sun so that it appeared to be closer to midnight. She noticed none of this.
A single tear traced its lonely way down her grime covered cheek. She blamed herself, of course. If she hadn't been in England, she could've helped, could have at least tried to stop it.
Instead, she had heard about it, days afterwards, and by the time she got home, to Dublin, it was already too late. Miss Sorrows had fled, by all accounts, and Kestrel hadn't been able to repay the vow she had made to herself all those years ago when Miss Sorrows had taken her off the streets.
She had betrayed her mistress when it counted most, and this ruin, this destruction was what came of it. Another tear joined the first as the rain intensified and a brilliant flash of lightning gave birth to another peal of thunder.
She regarded the ruins with what could not quite be called an unpracticed eye, looking for something, anything that could be used to identify the culprit. At first, there was nothing.
But as her eyes roved the site of the crime, she saw a tattered hat being held down by a burnt and destroyed book. Her hand tightened into a fist. The Skeleton, she thought bitterly. Of course.
She walked over to it, picked it up, and examined it closely. This made things simpler, if not safer. A little revenge would be in order.
In order to combat the Skeleton Detective, she would need power behind her. The Irish Sanctuary was out of the question, obviously. And really, that made the decision simple.
She was going to America.
