I may be distant as I've FINALLY (left it 2 last minute as always) finished my English essay. Thank golden god. SO, I'm writing my SP fanfic which I've not had time 2 touch since the beginning of term.
Annoyed with her shortsightedness, she turned to reluctantly go back up to her room to retrieve it, and came face to face with Tanimbar Corello.
For a second she was stunned, and he had that cocky little smirk that showed that he knew exactly what she was thinking. But then she regained her composure and stared him down, and he backed away quickly. “So. What the hell are you doing here?”
The smirk flitted back on to his face. She could slap him, but she held herself back. For now. “Language, Miss LeStarre,” he admonished.
She laughed-a hard, cruel, laugh. “You call that language?”
He gave a curt nod. “Yes, Miss LeStarre, I do.”
She shrugged, apparently deciding that it wasn’t worth it. “I’ll return to my original question. Why. Are. You. Here?”
He chuckled, and the ease with which he laughed seemed to be genuine. “I was just here to give you this.” And he held out her ring. She snatched it away from him, and cried out as her injured right arm was shaken. He looked slightly surprised that she had managed it so quickly, as if he had been planning to use it as a bargaining tool. “Thank you.” She said stiffly, turning around to face the food, practically radiating coldness.
He didn’t seem to get the hint. “So, aren’t you going to ask me how I got it?”
“No.” She moved away, to another table, pretending to peruse the food available. He followed her, and she sighed, aggravated. “Look,” she said, turning, “not that it isn’t nice to have some sort of puppy dog following me everywhere I go, but d’you think you could give me a little space?”
He turned slightly purple, and then pivoted on the heel of his boot and walked away. Wait-a heel? On his boot? Why was he wearing high-heeled boots?
