For those of you who have read KOTW, first of all, I'm glad you seem to be liking it, but I'm going to have to ask you to be careful. And for those of you who haven't read it- which is the vast majority of you- I'm going to have to ask you to be EXTRA careful. There are spoilers all over the place, on forums and Facebook pages and Tumblr...
The heartening thing is that these spoilers don't pop out of thin air. Everything is tagged with spoiler warnings, which I really appreciate. But I know you lot. I know how impatient you can be. I know that if you're on a forum and you come to a post that's hidden behind a spoiler warning, and all it takes is one little click... I know how tempting it is to just sneak a teeny tiny peek...
Which could ruin the entire book for you.
We have, what, 35 days until it's widely available? That's a lot of days for mistakes to be made, or for something to slip out...
So be careful. I was never a fan of releasing this book so far in advance of the Ireland/UK date but I was convinced it was necessary in order to facilitate the tour. If it doesn't work out, it won't be happening again. I don't know what that would mean for any future Down Under tours, but I'll deal with that if it crops up.
So, I want to thank everyone for behaving themselves as far as spoilers go, and ask that they continue to be very, very careful about what they say.
And also, some of those spoilers (of which I am allowed to read, because, y'know, I wrote the book) and your reactions to them have made me grin...

You know, it's not just that I find the concept of them having a relationship disturbing, but i'd be really disappointed to see it because in a series as amazing as this one, it just doesn't NEED that. EVERYTHING has a story line where the two lead characters fall for each other and it's so BORING and repetitive. It's why I never bothered to read the last two Hunger Games books. It's just so dull. Give me something NEW, for the love of god.

The fact that Skul, as a fully mature male skeleton or whatever, met Steph as a 12 year old girl, watched and HELPED her grow up... after that, the concept of him having a relationship with her weirds me the shit out, fiction or not.

Maybe it’s not so weird for me want to find who I am. Derek was right. Finding who you truly are is, in my opinion, the meaning of life. The ultimate goal. In the world of Skulduggery Pleasant, the most powerful people tend to know their true name, no? Well, finding who you truly are is the equal to finding your true name. It makes you a powerful person. Maybe not with physical strength, but definitely mentally/psychologically. The journey you must go on to find yourself is a great one that holds great difficulties. You will find many things in your life difficult and those difficulties are what help to mould who you are.
I know life can get difficult sometimes, but this isn’t necessarily bad. These little things in life that irritate you, depress you, or just generally get the better of you are not so bad…They’re a part of you. Or at least, they help you to find the true you. The true you will be ten times as amazing as you currently are. And, to me, you’re pretty amazing right now. Imagine what you’ll be like when you’re older…Imagine what you’ll be like when you let yourself be YOU ! You’ll be pretty awesome, to say the least.
Anyway, what I am getting at is that you need to allow yourself to be you. Because you is pretty awesome. Don’t fake being someone else. Don’t pretend to be someone you’re not, it’s a waste of time. By being true to yourself you’ll enjoy life more. You’ll find those true friends that I’ve ded’d to, before. You’ll get somewhere in your life. I can promise you that you’ll be far happier by being yourself than by pretending to be someone else. You’re all I could ever ask for and more.
This façade you may hide behind makes me sad, because it’s not you. It’s a lie. You’re someone completely different. Don’t live a lie. Don’t let yourself believe you’re not good enough, because of something someone has said. Or because of society. Society is, excuse my language, a bitch. Don’t let those lies consume or corrupt you. You’re…You’re just perfect the way you are…
Yes, you are allowed to be depressed from time to time. Yes, you can be angry at times. But no, you shouldn’t allow these things to get the better of you. Your time is precious and people as amazing as all of you should not be allowing people to get the better of you. People are going to hate, not everyone is going to like you. You shouldn’t try to please everyone, because that isn’t you. You’re not going to be liked by everyone. I have yet to find someone that is liked by everyone.

Hi sorry I poofed we got like severe beyond severe storms. Our fun of the night was reading Death Bringer to the kids. Trevor predicted stuff. We ended up predicting what we think will happen in KOTW it was bonding time. He doesnt like Beryl and he thinks Melencholia was a snob. Was veery fun. He was shell shocked when we read the part when Skulduggery's secret was revealed. It was like priceless the power flickered and he was like saying omg omg ALOT reading SP to a six year old was fun

Skulduggery has made me have a different - and better - sense of humour.
