For those of you who have read KOTW, first of all, I'm glad you seem to be liking it, but I'm going to have to ask you to be careful. And for those of you who haven't read it- which is the vast majority of you- I'm going to have to ask you to be EXTRA careful. There are spoilers all over the place, on forums and Facebook pages and Tumblr...
The heartening thing is that these spoilers don't pop out of thin air. Everything is tagged with spoiler warnings, which I really appreciate. But I know you lot. I know how impatient you can be. I know that if you're on a forum and you come to a post that's hidden behind a spoiler warning, and all it takes is one little click... I know how tempting it is to just sneak a teeny tiny peek...
Which could ruin the entire book for you.
We have, what, 35 days until it's widely available? That's a lot of days for mistakes to be made, or for something to slip out...
So be careful. I was never a fan of releasing this book so far in advance of the Ireland/UK date but I was convinced it was necessary in order to facilitate the tour. If it doesn't work out, it won't be happening again. I don't know what that would mean for any future Down Under tours, but I'll deal with that if it crops up.
So, I want to thank everyone for behaving themselves as far as spoilers go, and ask that they continue to be very, very careful about what they say.
And also, some of those spoilers (of which I am allowed to read, because, y'know, I wrote the book) and your reactions to them have made me grin...

I have read the book and it is amazingly fantastic. I read 204 pages on the first afternoon I had it, I just couldn't put it down.
In one of Derek's previous blogs, he said it will be a little more violent then Death Bringer. While reading the first half I was thinking, 'What the hell? There's no violence yet.' But I have to say, some parts got very violent later in the book.
Okay, I was thinking about saying something about the book, but someone who hasn't read KOTW might accidently read it. But all I'm gonna say, is the Epilogue, there is no way I could of expected that.
It was UNBELIEVEABLE.
And I cannot at all wait till the Down Under Tour!!!!

I'm cheering for a lot of countries in the Olympics... My home country first of all, then my 'adopted' country Korea, then I'm cheering for the countries you guys are from. Mostly Australia, England, and New Zealand. Surprisingly, I'm not cheering for Ireland... But maybe that's cause I didn't know it's abbreviation, so I didn't recognize it till about ten minutes ago when they replayed the swimming part and my friend told me.

Back. My aunty just dropped two boxes of Krispy Creams from Sydney! They are soooo delicious, so I'm gonna have a cuppa and a doughnut with my mum and brother while watching the Olympics.
In the Olympics, I am mainly cheering on Australia, second comes Ireland (my Grandmother was Irish) and then third is Sweeten I guess because my middle name is Sweetish and I am from Sweetish descendants.

Who's watching the Olympics? I am every now and then . . .
Last night I had another vivid dream, one of those dreams where you don't know it's a dream. I dreamt I was using this electric saw thing and chopped my fingers off on my left hand. It didn't hurt at first but I knew it was gonna start hurting soon and I had to be rushed to hospital so they could sew new fingers on. We got there just as it was starting to be really painful. They anestheticised me so it stopped hurting again, then I had to wait in this waiting room for hours as there were loads of operations needing to be done and my poor little fingers weren't a priority. :(
I woke up before it got to the operation part . . .
Do you think it was the best book? I think it was. Like, in the other books, it goes like; good part, bad part, okay part, awesome part, great part, okay part, and then massive fight part and finally the cliffhanger.
KOTW was filled with good parts, great parts, awesome parts then the massive fight and TWO cliffhangers. So that's why KOTW was my fave.

For the third book they're splitting the movie into two parts. I would never of thought of that, but it's a good idea now that I think of it.

Yes Peeta did call Katniss a mutt, but he was hijacked. The best two characters in the book are definitely Peeta and Haymitch. By far.

*sighs* I feel really bad about the spoilers. But, y'know, I'm being asked my opinion on Gone. He knows the very first bit of Gone. It's hard NOT to do half-spoilers-which-don't-matter-terribly-terribly-much. It's like you people being asked your DETAILED opinion on KOTW but not being able to mention anything that happens in it except the first few chapters. I can't think back to halfway through the first Gone book!!! I find it hard to distinguish what happens in which book, let alone what happens before what in each book!!! I've only read the series once, it's not like SP!!!!
