Zathract Mist is set before Nix and Mist. The Nix and Mist series follows the storyline of ZM (but is focused more on Nix).
Also, it works perfectly because after the Nix and Mist series, I am planning on bringing in Nagier as either an arc or a series, possibly with Crucify as well. Maybe not.
Maybe they could go in in later Nix and Mist books too, I don't know but whatever.

Age: 15 years [Almost 16]

Adept Power: Necromancy
Gender: Male
Personality: Nagier is a merciless, cold-blooded killer. He knows nothing of nicety and probably nothing of affection either. He is strategic, powerful and extremely arrogant, though also equally intelligent. He acts pretentious but the power he often boasts about is not an over-exaggeration. Nagier constantly changes between speaking like a powerful and professional overlord to casual speech making him seem even more unbalanced than he really is.
Nagier is not angered easily but will really explode if pushed into a rage (being the rage incarnate).
Appearance: Nagier Ryn looks basically identical to Zathract Mist, partially because he is the incarnation of Zathract’s rage, with a slight increase in height and skin so pale he could be dead. He technically is, of course, but that’s beside the point. Nagier’s hair is long and black and falls over his ears, covering them. His eyes, entirely different from Mist’s, are a deep, sometimes glowing (which he takes great pride in), glowing red. His expression is eternally cold, the only change being intensified to a burning glare.
His clothes are nothing but black. Everything black, jacket, top, pants, boots and gloves. Not even he knows whether or not he wears socks.
Nagier’s gloves channel his necromancy abilities.
History [SPOILER ALERT***]: Zathract Mist had a dark side. He always had, though, like most people, his dark side was a part of him and simply got the better of him at times. However, when the Grand Mage of the Australian Sanctuary demanded he take a partner in his detective work and found Lily Spire, everything begun to fall apart. Zathract started to become controlled by his emotions and feelings for Lily and hatred of Vathrasi. When he, Kassd None, Crex Terres and Lily (now with her taken name of Haze Ikkoku) track down Vathrasi and engage in battle, Lily is killed in the fight and Zathract was lost to rage.
In his anger, Vathrasi was killed and rather easily, but from then on Zathract Mist vanished. No one heard of him for 3 months and during that time many unsolved murders happened, though no one knew it had been Zathract who was doing it. And then he came to his senses. Mist attempted to expel his anger from him and become what he felt was whole again, but his darker side had already consumed an independent personality by this point. So when the rage was expelled from Zathract’s body, it drifted apart and took a form. This was Nagier Ryn, Zathract Mist’s evil half.
Disgusted at what had happened, Zathract and Nagier battled. Nagier, still disorientated form his recent taking of form, was defeated and killed. Though, because he was still a part of Zathract, the rage simply took form again a month later, still Nagier, but now powerful, controlled and dead. Dead. He could walk and talk and kill, but he was dead and had been ever since Zathract had killed him a month previously. As a result of this, Nagier feels no pain, as he is eternally and completely numb now.
In later months, it was revealed that Nagier’s name was Zathract’s True Name. Learning this piece of information, Nagier quickly seized the power and suddenly became immensely stronger.
To this day, Nagier Ryn is a freelancing murderer with the skills and abilities of Zathract Mist which, unfortunately, gives him the means in which to avoid capture far too easily.
