I've heard before, and I've seen that many times, people have the same types of ideas at the same time. So very frequently, movies very similar will come out at the same time, books the same, games. All kinds of things. It's really interesting, actually. For instance, The Prestige an the Illusionest, both sort of dreary, ominous movies about magicians came out within a week of each other, and right now, TWO movies about Snow White are going to be coming out really soon. I've seen this type of thing a whole lot.

I'm going to post the first part of my new book. i haven't got a name for it yet but here are the first 2 paragraphs:
Emily was running. The Jfexgravians were only a few metres behind her. Her mum had promised that there would be no invasion of earth from Jfexgrav, but there was, and it was catching up with her. She skidded round a corner and came to a dead end. She turned to see the Jfexgravian’s tails twirling round and round, ready to capture her and drag her back to their home planet as a prize. She spun round to face the wall and tried to find some foot holds. She started climbing even though she knew how organised these aliens were. The group that had chased her were suicidals, luring her out of safety at the risk of their own lives. There would be some-one waiting at their den to grab her if she came close. Then there would be the capture team, waiting on the other side of the wall. She dropped down and saw them in front of her. They were smiling those slimy smiles. A net was held tightly in the 3 hands of their leader. She dogged one way then the other, trying to confuse them but it had no effect. The net came down over her head and leader flung her across his shoulders.
It was only a few minutes journey until they reached the Jfexgravian den. It actually looked quite comfy. There were soft bean bag chairs and a coffee machine. There was also a young slave girl. Emily knew that was what they had captured her for. She had heard the stories of girls like Emily being taken away from their families and being made into slaves by the Jfexgravians. Although, she thought, it wouldn’t be too bad to have a sit down in a bean bag and a cup of coffee. They dragged her inside and she smiled as they neared the bean bag chairs but the aliens didn’t stop there. They pulled her deeper into the den. Down a flight of steps, and into a strange, prison like basement. She was pulled out of the bag and chucked into a cell. The Jfexgravians placed a glass of stale water and some mouldy bread in the cell with her. Was she supposed to eat that? “Eat up.” One of them snarled “you won’t be getting any more food for a while” he chuckled and walked away. The group starting talking about something in Jfexgravian. Why had she been forbidden to learn it at school? Just because they were Earth’s enemies, it would still be useful to know the language. “Looks like I’m going to be stuck in here for a while, I may as well get some sleep” She yawned sleepily and tried to get comfortable in her rough blanket on the hard ground.

I have a friend who lived near me for a while until I moved... she emailed me recently saying she had a dream...
We were on a high bridge... supposedly having a good time... all of a sudden, I went over the edge and hit the concrete below, dead...
She thinks it has a deeper meaning to it than just, 'I died'...
I think it means that I shouldn't be here... that's why I have to go, but I can't go, so I'm only coming back at night...
