Well, to take a picture, one would need a camera, it seems.
*looks at post* Oh, that's not a story. It's a letter Derek sent with the Christmas card. The part he wrote was "To Bella" then signed it, and the card itself says Peace at Christmas in English and I think in Irish.
What does the letter say?
Well, that'd take a while to type. Basically, after it says "Dear Bella," the first paragraph is about how much Derek liked my letter and how I'm clearly a fan. The second one he explains when he thought of Skulduggery. The third he explains how he either wanted to be an author or a ninja, but chose author because it seemed less painful. And in the last one he said that he couldn't answer my other questions because it would spoil all the fun while reading the books. Then he said thanks again for the letter and he was sorry that it took so long to get back to me. And he signed the bottom.
But when I got it there was a lot more jumping around and shouting about how Derek Landy had sent me a letter and how I thought I was going to explode with excitement.

Basically, I was over in London for a few days and I was standing in my hotel room and the name "Skulduggery Pleasant" just popped into my head. The name told me instantly who he was- a skeleton detective who is witty and charming- and suddenly I was writing a book.
So, really, I haven't a clue where the idea came from!
