Finally!
You don't know what it's like, you really don't. I finished the book, was very happy with it, and then took a few days of doing nothing before starting The End Of The World and some other stuff. And all the while I'd be reading your comments, and the comments on the Forums and Facebook, and smiling because everyone seemed to be looking forward to it so much.
But that was MONTHS ago!
To have to sit here and watch all of you count down the days made me feel so incredibly guilty for putting you through that. But now, finally, the wait is over. It is September 1st. It is Death Bringer day.
The Launch last night in Dublin was manic...! It turned into a marathon signing session, and it had Storm Troopers! STORM TROOPERS! I didn't get a chance to chat to any of the people I know and usually see at launches, because I was staring at the Storm Troopers and then signing books and staring at Boba Fett and signing books...
'Twas a good way to launch Death Bringer, so thank you Eason's bookshop!
And what will I be doing today, you ask? The day of the release? Will I be doing interviews and attending champagne parties? Er... no. I will be cleaning my house. I'm off on tour tomorrow, and as usual Laura will be staying here while I'm gone, so I have to get the place ready for her or she'll glare at me. And you've never been glared at by Laura. It's SCARY.
So all of you who have just bought the book, I hope you like it. The previous blog entry is still the ONLY place you can post spoilers, so don't do that here. And even in the previous entry, try to HINT at the spoilers instead of blurting them out. Because there are SOME people, who will remain nameless, who felt the need to SKIM the spoilers and were dismayed when certain things were spoiled for them... which I actually find hilarious. If you don't want anything spoiled, DO NOT READ THE SPOILER SECTION! Sigh.
Okay, I have a house to clean. And you? You have a book to read.

I'm now going to th ebookshop and try to explain to the shopkeeper why i have to order an english book that was released today. He always looks like im weird when im telling him that. ;) So, if everything wents right, i will have the book in afew days. If it DOSNT go right, i will have a nervous breakdown. xD

Aaah I'm soo freaking excited! I can't wait to get my hands on that book! Hopefully I shall get it tomorrow or on Saturday but I shall have that book! Yeah, I saw - but some people did look at the spoilers (which by that point were pretty mild!) and were a bit unhappy... but that was before someone (not me!) did blurt out the big thing.
... to be fair, it really is very hard to discuss the book without mentioning spoilers - and what are mild spoilers for some may be the most important bits of the book for others. But, yeah.

Congratulations on a successful launch! I have to wait a while for my book to come here to New York. I ordered two, actually. One for my family of rabid Skulduggery fans and one for our local library. Because you still have lots of fans in the states and many in our area did not know there were more than three books!

I've just finished Death Bringer. I ran to Waterstones in the center of Belfast today in my high heels and an ankle-lenght school skirt, bashing into several people as I ran, my bag swinging violently.
And then I got it, and felt to excited I was ready to throw up, and I kept randomly squealing.
And now I've read it. And I need to talk to you, and thank you, and beg you to release book seven right freaking now, because I'm crying (again. I've became an emotional wreck once more.) at the prospect of having to wait twelve months. I mean, I'm in a total state of shock. I don't want to let anything in except Skulduggery. I just want to think about it and hide myself in Skulduggery books forever.

hey i just got this account and i just became a skulduggery lover over the summer holidays my mum got me the first book and i lob=ved it so i got the other 4 then i thought that was it.......then here comes DEATH BRINGER! i ran down the stairs screaming to my mum that a new book was out.
even at school i go on to the skulduggery homepage to cheak the countdown and i just watched the seconds pass by...... and here it is.
it's here but i have to wait till the 5th to go to derek's book signing in glasgow.
