Just absolutely hilarious. Period. I am a cat and dog lover; my cat hates bigger dogs and terrorizes the little ones. (not joking, my neighbor who has a tiny dog had ask us to bring him inside while he walked the dog.) I deleted the previous post cause i messed up... anyway, if the Golden God is wasting time by reading how his minions are wasting time, I'm letting you know that my friend is stalking your blog. She's just like that. She recommended the skulduggery books to me, though, and lent me the first one. We both are writeres. I'm trying to write a book. Only have 2 chapters, but I'm trying (kinda pitiful, cause I happen to like starting and it's hard to stick to one story so I have like sixty ideas). Anyone want to read a paragraph excerpt? btw, my posts are usually long.
The book is called Dawn Suncatcher. She is going to be 18... This is a paragraph from the prologue as she says how she is an orphan. I'm very proud of the prologue cause its some of my very best writing... : When I was old enough to understand it; old enough to find myself in the predicament of orphancy, I believed. I was not naÑ—ve, merely young. Too young to search beneath the barrier of the alibi, and soon it had been driven into me so many times that it was the simple and unsophisticated truth. There was no need to question its validity, I saw the mine myself many times. And yet... I wondered. I created in my minds eye nonsensical fantasies, in which I had parents and a sibling, a home, a life. Over and over I would be shaken out of my dreamy reverie by the sharp bite of reality, the fact that I was an orphan and always would be. There was no sense in believing something that would never be true.
That is the third paragraph... I have that and ch. 1, and working on chapter 2!!!
Her parents died in a mine accident... but they didn't really die. There's going to be different realms and a personal quest that spirals into saving the world... you know, the usual.
BYE! and thanks! I just need someone hovering over me telling me to write or else I just spend my time hanging around blogs or computer games :P but I'm trying.
