Do you know what it's like to read 1662 comments in one go? My brain is fuzzy. You people are insane.
I'm home for two days, and then the Irish tour kicks off on Monday. I was meant to get home yesterday, but missed my connecting flight and had to spend the night in Frankfurt, when all I wanted to do was go home and cuddle my doggies...
I'll write a more detailed blog later, but this tour has been amazing. Met so many people, and so many of YOU, my Minions, from both this Blog and the Bebo page, turned up to say hi...

Hey, Derek. I don't have any amazing news, or witty comments (not many, anyway), but I'd just like to say how much I love your books.
First of all, YOU RULE. LIKE A VOICE-ACTIVATED RULER. Yep. That much.
Second of all, Mortal coil was so DEREKTASTIC. I normally breeze through all books. I finished an 650 page book in 8 hours once. I just thought I'd mention that. But, I tried so very hard to savour this one. I made it last a whole DAY. I inhaled the new book smell, locked my door and flipped over the amazing cover, to squeal at the preface. I read every word slowly and with the greatest pleasure, until the very last few pages.
That's when I got angry. I actually had to withhold from tearing the book in half. (Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I have super-strength. Yeah. Rawr.) I was just so.. so... FURIOUS with you. I mean, how DARE you?! It was really excellent, I had started vibrating like an overcharged duracell rabbit when darquesse was unleashed, but then a very sudden realization came to me, clouding my mood. Or, rather, smashing it to bits with a crowbar.
It was going to end. And it did.
I had guessed that you hadn't developed some sort of endless book, that adds pages as you read them (though I wish you could), but I was really very annoyed when the final words kept repeating in my mind.
So, I hate you. With a burning, red hot passion, that grows each time I glance at your books.
And, the most annoying thing of all, is that I love you even more for it. I understand that this is normal, for a person to want to keep reading, keep the love flowing and all that jazz, but I have never felt such pure desire to physically injure anyone in my entire life. And I hugged the book when it ended. It was that awesome, Mr-inflated-ego-I-have-minions. So, just know that I most certainly don't like you right now, and I almost cried when I discovered I was 2 days too late to go to your book signing in Manchester. I did scream into my hands though. And sulk.
I love you, with a hatred so strong, it tastes of acid sugar. Enjoy. (I'M NOT ANONYMOUS. YOU CAN CALL ME FANTASTICO. EVERYONE ELSE DOES.)

So, when I'm a famous authoress, and someone asks ME who inspired me, I'm going to say 'Derek Landy'. Because you are amazing, funny, witty, sarcastic and have the best ideas and timing. You also have an ego like a bouncy castle. It inflates constantly, and you just like to revel in it.
Question zwei. If you could create any constellation, and name it, what would it be? Excluding one of you, of course.
Tres. Spanish or German? I have used spanish AND German numbers, just so you can have a bit of... 'which word looks and sounds cooler?' time.
And, lastly, cookies or muffins? And which kind? It's a kind of quarrel between me and my family, and I'll just end it with your opinion. Because, ya know, you rule and all.

@Hellboy: thoughtforms are... like your imagination becoming reality. Basically, if you were to...think of Skulduggery, per se, hard enough, he'd eventually become real...kind of. So it's like a hallucination that everyone can see and feel. If Skulduggery were who you imagined; he could touch your cheek, or shake your hand. People are said to have done it...
Also, I watched Prince of Persia. They did an AMAZING job! Very much like the game. I want to say now that I hate Star Wars. Always have, always will. No offense though.
Two nights ago, I was watching Where the Wild Things Are. Then my mother changed it to The Haunting in Conneticut saying, "Watch the dead people honey." I mean I didn't mind that movie (I laughed a lot and I really liked that two dead boys story) but I wanted to see what would happen with the other. But on the upside, I got to see the beginning of the Conneticut one. I only saw the last half an hour the first time I saw it. I hate it when you miss stuff like that.
My opinion of the movie: Not too bad. Usually scary movies are LAME! SAW was boring. Just saying. It is the same thing, the ENTIRE time! I got horrendously bored. But yeah, they did a pretty good job with it. I also really liked Pan's Labrynth (Did I spell that right?). I really, really did.
