Do you know what it's like to read 1662 comments in one go? My brain is fuzzy. You people are insane.
I'm home for two days, and then the Irish tour kicks off on Monday. I was meant to get home yesterday, but missed my connecting flight and had to spend the night in Frankfurt, when all I wanted to do was go home and cuddle my doggies...
I'll write a more detailed blog later, but this tour has been amazing. Met so many people, and so many of YOU, my Minions, from both this Blog and the Bebo page, turned up to say hi...

yerp I finished and even though my works amazing (says with sarcasm) I still regret getting perinant paint on me ..
I mean who knew such a thing existed ... I know in year 4 someone wrote with perminat marker pen on the white board but when they covered it with normal pen it rubbed off with it ... i have art before p.e. tommorow and I can cover my arms in normal paint then wash it off :]

Well, I finally got Mortail Coil and read it in a day. =D (And a night. ALL night.) One of my favorite chapters was the one where Scapegrace goes to the funeral homes. So hysterical, and so clever to make them [SPOILER] the funeral homes by Skulduggery's house. [END] I'm liking Scapegrace more and more, utter dork though he may be. My other favorite was the chapter that introduced Nye. It was a good kind of scary, and on a whole new level. Definitely one of the scariest Skulduggery chapters.
Other authors have yelled at me for making suggestions about their books, but you, Derek, seem very chill, to resurrect an outdated slang term, and I'd feel weird if I DIDN'T say this. You know, like I was lying, by being all "Oh, I loved everything about the book," when secretly I wished some stuff was different. Not that you have to take my suggestions or anything. You totally don't. But you need to put in more of Skulduggery and Valkyrie TOGETHER. I know that the books, especially Mortal Coil, are sort of about Valkyrie growing up and that would mean she'd do more stuff on her own, or apart from Skulduggery. But seriously, I love reading about Skulduggery and Valkyrie palling around, in their own snarky way, being all hilarious and awesome. And now that we know Val's kind of afraid of Skulduggery, I really hope that Mortal Coil isn't a foreshadowing of them growing apart or anything. It seemed like they hardly worked together in this one (Val partnered, not with Skul, but with Tanith, and Skul with China when they [SPOILER] were searching for the key [END]). And you need to put in more Skulduggery altogether. It seemed he was in this book less than the last one, and he was in another dimension in the last one. He's my favorite. He's basically the whole reason I read the books. And you need to put in more of the unexpected instances where Skulduggery is sweet, like when he [SPOILER] put his gun away and helped Tesseract (who was awesome for an evil guy) outside to see the sunrise [END]. I love those parts. (I am perplexed as to why Skulduggery was getting his gun out in the first place, though, since the guy wasn't really a threat just then.) And this is a little thing, but I think Skulduggery totally should have given Valkyrie a present. What's up with him and his weird policy?
All this backseat writing probably doesn't help, but I'm gonna ask again: WISH ME A HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY! The yelling probably doesn't help either, does it?...but I'm gonna keep asking, every time I comment, until you WISH ME A HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY!

Sorry-- I was sort of in shock on my last comment. Although i am still a bit overwhelmed about Mortal Coil, I must say that I am disapointed in you, Derek Landy. You are resorting back to your ld "Horror Movie" ways. Theres a reason why i never watch horror movies. I dont think I will continue with the series. I dont know yet, but Im leaning towards not.
You are a great writer Derek, but because of the things you wrote in Mortal Coil, I cant let my sister read it, I'm not going to lend it to either of my waiting friends, and I dont think I'll suggest it to anybody because it just gets grosser and grosser until the point where I dont want to be blamed for suggesting a book that gives them nightmares.
Skulduggery Pleasant was my favorite series and I enjoyed telling people all about it when they made a "what on earth..." face at it. Now, I just dont know.
I think I will still follow your blog and be a part of the Munchkin Army for now, and I still expect to see you when you come down to Texas, but I will be dissapointed. I could have come up with a better ending and better solution and I know you could have, and you should have used that.

i love pythagoras's therom! its the only thing im good at.
so if you need to find c (which is the hypotonus which means the longest side) then you square one of the shorter sides,then the other shorter side. then you add the answers of those two together. then you do the square root of THAT answer to get c.
basically that is a2+b2=c2
